The Edmonton Oilers re-signed goaltender Devan Dubnyk to a two-year deal Tuesday. The 24-year-old had a 3.57 GAA and .889 save percentage in 19 games in his rookie season. Dubnyk was drafted by the Oilers 14th overall in 2004. Edmonton also agreed to a one-year contract with minor league defenseman Shawn Belle. [read full article]

The Edmonton Oilers have signed top overall draft pick Taylor Hall to a three-year, entry-level contract. Hall's deal includes the maximum base salary of $900,000 per season and could end up netting him around $3 million each year depending on how many performance bonuses he reaches. D Strudwick returns to Oilers for 1 year (AP)
Veteran defenseman Jason Strudwick is returning to the Edmonton Oilers on a one-year deal. The 34-year-old had six assists in 72 games for the Oilers last year, his second with his hometown team. The Edmonton Oilers have traded forward Patrick O'Sullivan to the Phoenix Coyotes for defenseman Jim Vandermeer. The deal announced Wednesday comes one day after the Oilers placed O'Sullivan on waivers for the purpose of buying out his contract. The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed former Edmonton Oilers left wing Ethan Moreau (moh-ROH') off waivers. The 34-year-old Moreau, who has a year left on a contract that pays him $1.75 million, had nine goals and nine assists last season.
